Project Next is an opportunity to grow our own workforce and economy by using the young people/students who are attending our public schools and providing them the tools to take advantage of their capabilities locally. Too many regions allow the best and brightest to go somewhere else and I have always seen NXT as an amazing economic development tool by providing services to our high school students to help them understand and develop their strengths and have them stay local for their future careers during or after they finish their education goals. Project Next is the connecting link to education and careers and anything we can do to expand that connection will assist the region in developing a strong sustainable economy.
