With more than two decades of experience in leadership, operations, training, education, marketing, outreach, and management in both the military and civilian sectors, Lionel is a thoughtful and engaging consultant and in-demand public speaker and presenter.
A decorated United States Marine Corps (USMC) veteran of more than 22 years, Lionel has led teams across the globe and served in educator roles including as a Drill Instructor at Parris Island, SC, and
as an Assistant Marine Officer Instructor and Faculty Educator at the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY.
Additionally, Lionel served in a variety of leadership capacities ranging from marketing management to program coordination and as Assistant Commandant at The Army Navy Academy, a college
preparatory school in Carlsbad, CA.
Lionel earned his Bachelors of Arts degree in General Studies from Columbia College of Missouri and is certified as both a Marketing Management Professional (CMMP) and
Management Professional. He is a member of the San Diego Chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), is Chairman of the Board of Directors for AIM, Achievement In Motion, and serves as a Planning Commissioner in the City of San Marcos, where he resides with his wife and children.
