Katie Yee embodies the spirit of Projct Next and has been instrumental in our growth as an organization. The owner of Connect Strategic Consulting, Katie is a local San Marcos resident and a mother of middle school and high school-aged daughters. Her background and connections in the building and construction industry has opened several doors for our students.
Katie has brought numerous program opportunities to our students. Through her membership in San Diego Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), Katie has helped facilitate multiple events between students and CREW members, including Connect 2 Careers events, site visits, and Xcelerate connections. In addition, Katie serves on the Board of Directors for ACE Mentor San Diego and brought the ACE Mentoring program to Project Next at SMHS.
"In order to have a strong local workforce and community, we must invest in the lives and futures of our students. We are truly fortunate to have leaders, business owners, educators, and citizens who realize that we all share in the responsibility of not only helping our students dream big about their futures, but in creating opportunities and providing resources to assist them in planning and preparing to realize their future goals. This is what Project Next is all about and why I'm so passionate about our mission."
