Jim Bettencourt has been a resident of North San Diego County since 2002. He is a Marine Corps Veteran and has worked in television news for KHGI (ABC NTV News Nebraska) and KTXL (FOX 40 News Sacramento).
For the past 23 years Jim has worked in Law Enforcement as a Public Information Officer, Traffic Reporter on KGTV (CH 10 San Diego) and a Background Investigator.
Jim is extremely passionate about Project Next and its programs because it allows him to give back to the communities that have given so much to him. “There are many pathways to success and I am excited to help students choose which one is right for them.”
When Jim is not working at his full time job as a Police Officer or helping Project Next with social media, he enjoys, WWE, all sporting events and all things 80’s.
