Jenny Orlando is a dedicated community leader with a strong background in education, nonprofit leadership, and program coordination. After earning a degree in Law & Society from UC Santa Barbara, she spent six years living and working in Washington, D.C., before returning to Southern California.
Since 2002, Jenny has been deeply engaged in the San Marcos community, serving on PTO Boards for 14 years while raising her two sons. In 2016, she joined San Marcos Unified School District, where she played a key role in establishing the culture of its newest K-8 school. Her commitment to education and community service led her to Project Next, where she served on the Board for five years, including terms as Secretary and Board Chair. She now serves as the organization's Programs Coordinator, bringing extensive leadership experience, strategic planning skills, and strong community connections to her role.
Outside of work, Jenny and her husband, Chris, enjoy their (mostly) empty nest with their dog, Kona. They are both avid yoga and hiking enthusiasts, devoted Padres and college basketball fans, and enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends.
