Chris Summers is the Director of Origination, Energy Supply and Dispatch at SDG&E. Chris has over 10 years of experience in the energy industry including regulatory relations, commercial transactions, and
project development. In his current role, he oversees all commercial and policy activities related to SDG&E’s energy portfolio including all contracting, market operations and the integration advanced
technologies, like battery storage, to ensure clean, reliable energy to the region. Prior to his tenure in the energy industry Chris was a practicing attorney in various areas including securities litigation and
products liability defense. He graduated from St. Mary’s College of California with a degree in Politics and Accounting and is still a licensed attorney. When he’s not at work he enjoys gardening, coaching kids’ athletics, pickleball and any other outdoor activity.
